How to Use the Classical Guitar Tuner

1. Select your desired tuning from the dropdown menu.
2. Choose the string sound type that best matches your guitar.
3. Click on any string to hear its corresponding note.
4. Use the individual string buttons to hear each string separately.
5. Use the "Play All Strings" button to hear all strings one by one.
6. Tune your classical guitar by matching the sound of each string to the notes played.

Classical Guitar Tuning Guide

• Standard (E A D G B E): The most common tuning used in classical guitar repertoire.
• Drop D (D A D G B E): Lowers the 6th string by a whole step. Used in Bach suites and modern compositions.
• Baroque D Minor (D A D F A D): Historical tuning popular in baroque period music.
• New Standard (C G D A E G): Modern tuning invented by composer Robert Fripp.
• Open G (D G D G B D): Creates a G major chord when strummed open.
• Half Step Down (Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb): All strings lowered by a half step. Creates a warmer tone and reduces string tension.
• Whole Step Down (D G C F A D): All strings lowered by a whole step. Significantly reduces string tension.
• Open F Major (F A C F C F): Creates an F major chord when played open.
• Open C Major (C G C G C E): Creates a C major chord when played open.
