: Historical tuning popular in baroque period music.
New Standard (C G D A E G)
: Modern tuning invented by composer Robert Fripp.
Open G (D G D G B D)
: Creates a G major chord when strummed open.
Half Step Down (Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb)
: All strings lowered by a half step. Creates a warmer tone and reduces string tension.
Whole Step Down (D G C F A D)
: All strings lowered by a whole step. Significantly reduces string tension.
Open F Major (F A C F C F)
: Creates an F major chord when played open.
Open C Major (C G C G C E)
: Creates a C major chord when played open.
