How to play C minor chord on a guitar: The image shows a C minor chord on a guitar. The horizontal lines represent the strings (E, B, G, D, A, E from top to bottom), and the vertical lines are the frets. The numbers in yellow circles indicate the finger to use: 1 (index), 2 (middle), 3 (ring), and 4 (pinky). An "X" means don't play that string. To play C minor, don't play the low E string. Place your index finger on the 3rd fret of the A and high E strings. Place your middle finger on the 4th fret of the B string. Place your ring finger on the 5th fret of the D string, and your pinky finger on the 5th fret of the G string. Strum from the A string down to the high E string.
